Friday Round-Up

Well, it's been... a while. It's been a crazy month or so with all of my end-of-semester projects. I've only managed to fit in a couple of movies, but I'm hoping I'll be able to watch a lot more after next week. I only have time for really brief reviews of these four films.

The Great Escape: Loved it. Great cast, great story, I could have watched it for another three hours or more. After only one viewing, it's already got a place in my Top 5 favorites of all time.

City Lights: I guess it was OK. The plot was kind of all over the place, and it wasn't particularly funny.

Toy Story 3: The plot was pretty similar to the other two films and there were way too many new characters. I thought it was good enough, but then the ending just killed me. I'm glad I didn't see it in the theaters because I was a wreck.

Best Worst Movie: Such a sweet, sad film. If you haven't seen Troll 2, see it immediately, then see this one. Watching one enhances the enjoyment of the other. I read somewhere that someone wanted to hug everyone involved in Best Worst Movie, and I agree. So many people embracing such a brilliantly terrible movie is somehow heartwarming.
