Movie Poster Monday: Let Me In

For my inaugural Movie Poster Monday post, it has to be this new poster for Let Me In (due out on October 1). Now, I was not crazy about Let the Right One In, but I understand why those who loved it would be wary of the remake. However, this is a pretty great poster. It's so simple but striking, and I think it holds well to the visual aesthetic of the original. From what I've seen of the stills so far, director Matt Reeves seems to be maintaining the look of the first movie (maybe too much?).

One thing I noticed: this and the other posters for Let Me In are going for a warmer color scheme - more yellowy light here and the emphasis on the blood in the second poster - as opposed to the original, which used cool, blue tones and shadows on its posters.  I don't know if this is just to ensure the posters are not clones of the Swedish ones or if the posters' color palette will translate to the film, but it's a notable difference that intrigues the art historian in me.
